An
expedition tour, using off-road jeeps passing through about 40
wonderful beaches, dunes, lagoons and fishing villages, on
the off-beaten tracks of Ceará, arriving to Jericoacoara,
considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. During the trip we schedule
stops for swimming, sandboarding on the dunes, pictures and seeing
the local cultural attractions.
Fortaleza
- Mundau/Flexeiras. Departure from Fortaleza at 08:00 am with beach buggy and
via the asphalt road to Cumbuco beach, 27 km north west of Fortaleza. In
Cumbuco the beach buggy leaves the asphalt road and drives on the famous
sand dunes to the beautiful beach and then on to the beaches of
Pecem, Taiba, Paracuru, where the beach buggy enters a dirt road for 15 km to
Lagoinha where a short stop is made and then on to Guajiru, Fleixeiras
and Mundau. Mundaú is a fisherman village with a beautiful beach and a river.
During the low-tide period, reefs can be seen and natural swimming pools are
also formed and become a great place for snorkeling to look at the colorful
fish in the natural pools. The main attraction in Mundau is a boat trip
(not included) with a boat on the Mundau river with a beautiful view of the
dunes, small islands and the mangrove areas. Overnight in Mundau or Flexeiras.
Duration of trip this day, including stops is about 9 hours.

Day 2 – Mundaú - Jericoacoara
Breakfast.
The tour continues with crossing the Mundau river with a small raft
and then driving on the empty beaches to Baleia and Icarai de
Amontada from where the beach buggy crosses another river and takes paths and
dirt roads to Almofala village, known in the past for the Tremembe
Indians, who still keeps their cultural values and the Church which was
covered by a sand dune for 45 years in the 19th century. From Almofala to to
Prea where the last part to Jericoacoara will be made on the beach. Arrival,
accommodation and afternoon at leisure. Overnight in a “pousada”. Duration
of trip this day, 8 hours.

Breakfast. Departure
by the regular bus line or van, begining with a 4 x 4 wheel drive truck to
Gijoca and then change to the normal regular bus or van to Fortaleza. Arrival
early evening to Fortaleza bus station and transfer to the hotel.

Accommodation:
Double
rooms can have separate beds or not. A third person depending on the hotel
has the possibility of using a sofa bed. Consult for children policy.
Payment:
Deposit
of 30% to guarantee your reservation. The remaining amount must be paid a
minimum 30 days before start of the tour. If reservation is made within 30
days of the tour full payment required to make a reservation.
Cancellation:
Up
to 30 days before full refund is given unless the flight tickets have been
emitted. In this case there will be a penalty due to the cancellation of
the tickets. This depends on the rules of the airline used.No refund is given when a cancellation is made within 30 days of
departure.
